Your Ballot

Election Myth - Jury Duty.  I'll be called to jury duty if I register to vote.

The jury pool is made up of a combination of databases from the Department of Transportation and Voter Registrations. If you have a driver's license or have registered a vehicle, you are already in the jury pool.

When I get to the polls, how do I mark my votes?

It depends on the county you live in. There are 4 types of ballots in Idaho; paper ballots, punch card ballots, oval optical scan ballots and arrow optical scan ballots.

Ballot type by county and instructions for each ballot type.

What if I’m going to be out of town on Election Day?

You can fill out an absentee ballot request form [PDF].  After the County Clerk's office receives your request and checks your registration, an absentee ballot will be mailed to you. You can return by mail or drop off at your County Clerk’s office.
