YEAR 2000 PROPOSED BALLOT INITIATIVES

No initiative proponents filed the required number of signatures to gain ballot status.

There were no statewide initiatives on the November 2000 General Election ballot.

Listed are the initiatives that were circulated in the 1999/2000 election cycle.

  Initiative raising the minimum wage and raising the training wage paid to certain employees under the age of eighteen.

Initiative requiring public entities to disclose prevailing wage information when advertising for public works projects involving the employment of laborers.

Initiative giving hunting/fishing license holders right to elect four out of five members of Idaho Fish and Game Commission.

Initiative establishing term limits for elected state executive office holders and state legislators through ballot access restrictions.

Initiative establishing term limits via ballot access restrictions for elected state executive, legislative and local officials; establishing local opt-out procedures.

Initiative changing current law governing annexation of real property by cities to require certain procedures and an election before annexation.
