County Reimbursement Form

NOTE:  This is an Idaho Secretary of State form, and is NOT your conference registration.  You must register for the conference through the Idaho Association of Counties.

Hotel: The Idaho Secretary of State will pay for (via direct billing to SOS from the hotel) up to 3 nights lodging per attendee, at the Riverside Hotel, starting on Tuesday night Jan 8, 2019. (limit 4 attendees)

Individuals seeking reservations should call The Riverside Hotel at 208-343-1871. Request reservations under the group name: “Recorders and Clerks Elections. Make sure to call before Friday December 21, 2018, to receive the special group rate.

Travel: The Idaho Secretary of State is offering to directly reimburse counties for travel (either by mileage or flight costs, limit four attendees) for attendees who:

    1. Register for the Elections Conference taking place Jan 8–10, 2019.
    1. Participate in Wednesday’s cybersecurity exercise.
    1. Submit the preauthorization request form below by Dec 21, 2018.

Meals:  ID SOS will not be providing a per-diem or reimbursement for meals, though most meals will be provided as part of the conference. Additional meal expenses will be subject to county or participant expense.


System Upgrade In Progress

Campaign Finance, Lobbyist Reporting, and Online Voter Tools are expected to be offline from April 9th at 5:00 p.m. MDT, through April 12th at 8:00 a.m. MDT to complete a system upgrade.

Per Idaho Code 67-6607, campaign finance is reported monthly during a campaign’s election year. The deadline for the March report falls on Saturday, April 10th. Due to the interruption caused by this upgrade, political treasurers will be allowed to file the March report until 11:59 p.m. MDT on Monday, April 12th.

While we do our best to ensure compliance with all deadlines in statute, the timing of this release is critical to ensure minimal (or no) impact to the May election cycle. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
