Can I use any version of any browser to file
online?
This online filing site is currently compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer® version 4.0 and higher. IE version 4.0 browsers are compatible with the data entry screens but do not provide the proper formatting to view the xml images of the completed documents. What does it cost to file a lien online? The statutory fee for filing a UCC-1 online is $3.00 per lien. There is an additional fee for the Instant Payment Gateway (IPG) charged to your credit card or Access Idaho subscriber account in the amount of $1.00 per lien. All other fees are listed in our Fee Schedule. What types of liens may I file online? At this time, UCC-1 and UCC-3 Financing Statements are being accepted online. Can I file amendments to existing liens online? Yes you are now able to file ammendments online. UCC-3 Amendment filings can now be filed online or in paper form at the Idaho Secretary of State's office. When and how will I receive acknowledgment and confirmation that my liens have been filed? Upon successful completion of the filing and payment processes, your liens are processed directly into the Idaho Secretary of State UCC Liens database, a filing number is assigned to each lien, and a document image of each lien is generated. At this point the filing is effective. A screen will appear with the filing number(s) to confirm the filing process is complete. You may print a copy of this screen or the document image (see below) as your acknowledgment. Can I print the images of the UCC liens I've filed? As you successfully complete a session and your filings are processed, you will be able to display and print free of charge the images for that session only. This will be your only opportunity to do so free of charge. Once you have terminated the session, you will only be able to view and print your documents by using Access Idaho's "UCC/Lien Search" subscription service. What happens if I close my browser, or my pc crashes, before I've completed an online filing session? If you close your browser or your computer crashes before you complete the credit card and/or Access Idaho transaction process, the filing will not take affect and all entered data will be lost. If your pc crashes immediately after submitting the transaction information and/or you do not receive the official filing number you can verify that the lien has been filed by going to the free online search service ON THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY at https://www.accessidaho.org/secure/sos/liens/search.html. Search for the Debtor's name. If you find the lien you were processing during the time your computer failed, that filing is effective and the filing number will appear. You may contact Jeff Harvey at [email protected] or (208) 332-2849 for immediate customer service. Can I use my Idaho Secretary of State's prepaid account to pay for online filing? No. Payment can only be made via Access Idaho's Instant Payment Gateway (IPG). Can I use my Access Idaho subscriber account to pay for online filing? Yes you may, under the terms of your subscription agreement with Access Idaho. What types of credit cards are accepted? MasterCard and VISA credit or debit cards are accepted. Where can I get a copy of Idaho's Administrative Rules regarding Uniform Commercial Code Article 9? You may view, print, or download Idaho's Administrative Rules at /ucc/uccindex.htm . If I make a mistake, how do I delete a lien? You may only delete the filing data for a specific lien from the Session Summary screen prior to check-out. Perhaps, you discover that during your data entry session you inadvertently duplicated information for an indented filing. Simply, complete the data entry process until you arrive at the Session Summary screen and click the delete procedure shown. Once you have initiated the check-out payment process you will not be able to delete the data you have entered for a specific lien. However, if you decide not to complete the payment process all of the data entered will be lost and no filings will be processed. If you realize after the filings have been processed and a filing number has been issued you will have to file an Amendment with termination action. See "Can I file amendments to existing liens online?" above for additional information. |
