Idaho Code Commission

Appointed by the Governor. Governed by Idaho Statute §73-2.

The mission of the Idaho Code Commission is to keep a current compilation of Idaho Code. This is done through publication of new volumes, updated pocket parts to volumes, or as necessary, the republication of single or more volumes, especially after each session of the legislature. The publications contain existing laws, repealed laws or parts of laws, substitute laws, additional laws, constitutional provisions & changes, rules of the Supreme Court of Idaho, additional notes, annotations and indexing.

Idaho Board of Canvassers

Governed by Idaho Statute §34-12(11-13).

The Board meets within fifteen days after the primary election and within fifteen days after the general election in the office of the Secretary of State for the purpose of canvassing the abstracts of votes cast for all candidates for federal, state and district offices. After canvassing the abstract votes, the Board issues a statement with the names of the candidates, the number of votes cast for each candidate, the total number of all votes cast for all federal, state and district candidates and the total number of affirmative and negative votes cast for any special question by county. This statement is signed by all members and presented to the Secretary of State.

Idaho State Board of Land Commissioners

The Land Board provides direction to the Department of Lands in managing approximately 2.5 million acres of state endowment trust lands in Idaho. The Land Board also oversees the work of the Department of Lands in its regulatory and assistance duties, and in managing Idaho’s public trust lands – the thousands of miles of land beneath Idaho’s navigable waterways.

Idaho Board of Examiners

Governed by Idaho Statute §67-20.

​The Board of Examiners examines all claims against the state except salaries and compensation fixed by law and ordinary operations of state government for which appropriations have been made.

National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS)

Western Region Vice President

Appointed annually by the NASS President and approved by member vote, the NASS Executive Board is the chief governing body of NASS. The President and President-elect are of opposite political parties and rotate on an annual basis. The board meets at least twice a year.
