Boise, Idaho – Idaho Secretary of State Lawerence Denney announced Tenex’s Precinct Central e-poll book has been certified for use in Idaho.
“Introducing this additional option to county election officials is another step forward in our efforts to implement changes to improve the voting experience for Idahoans,” said Secretary Denney. “Furthermore, the transparency of the certification process helps to maintain the public trust in this office and in Idaho’s elections; a top priority for this office.”
The certification process ensures the system complies with all state and federal requirements. This process requires the system to pass testing completed by Idaho Secretary of State staff. In addition to the public hearing and the required testing, the system has also been certified by an independent testing authority approved by the Idaho Secretary of State.
Tenex’s Precinct Central is an iPad-based system designed to ensure efficiency and accuracy at the polls during the voter check-in process. It is the fourth e-poll book to be certified in Idaho.
