The Idaho Secretary of State is pleased to provide the following preliminary results from the 3 counties reviewed in Wednesday’s Day 1 of the 2022 Primary Post Election Audit.
Idaho Secretary of State to Conduct Primary Postelection Audit
Idaho Secretary of State Lawerence Denney selected counties and precincts for the Post-Election Audit on Tuesday, May 24th. The audit will take place over the next three days at the following counties and precincts. Teams have already been dispatched to some locations.

Polling Location, School Placed on Temporary Lockdown
The Idaho Secretary of State’s Elections Operations Center, located in the Idaho State Capitol building, received reports earlier today of a situation involving potential shots fired in the vicinity of Wood River Middle School in Hailey Idaho. The incident has been investigated by local law enforcement, and it has been determined that there were no actual gunshots fired. As of 11:30 am, all temporary lockdowns were lifted at local schools and polling locations.

Idaho Elections Operations Center (EOC)
Secretary Denney has authorized the formation of an Elections Operations Center (EOC) with a focus to monitor cyber threats to elections, facilitate situational awareness, and inform decision makers with real-time information.
Voting System Certification Hearing Held on April 14-15, 2022
Idaho Secretary of State Lawerence Denney held a certification hearing for ES&S EVS 6.2.0.0 on April 14-15, 2022. EVS 6.2.0.0 includes modifications to the currently certified EVS 5.2.4.0. The upgrades have been certified by the Elections Assistance Commission, through SLI Compliance. Pursuant to Idaho Code §34-2409, the Idaho Secretary of State must certify voting systems before they can be used in Idaho.
