Boise, Idaho – Secretary of State Lawerence Denney will host visiting Secretary of State Mac Warner, who will present on Foreign Influence on American Elections. Secretary Warner is recognized nationally as a leader in election cybersecurity, with his work being featured by national media outlets including NPR, CNN, New York Times, Fox News, HBO News, and Snapchat. He aims to educate citizens, voters, and elections officials in ways to be more vigilant when it comes to information they see on social media.

This presentation reflects Secretary Denney’s continued commitment to educate and inform Idahoans regarding best practices in fighting misinformation. “Effectively fighting misinformation continues to be a priority, and we’re excited to have the opportunity to share Secretary Warner’s knowledge and expertise.”

Lawerence Denney has served the people of Idaho since 1990. His public service began as a representative in District 13 and, following redistricting, he became a representative in District 9 until 2014. During that time, Denney served two terms as Majority Leader and three terms as Speaker of the House before successfully running for state office. He is currently in the first year of his second term as Idaho’s Secretary of State.
